I tried walking/shopping today and now my foot is swollen.Arrggh! I have little of the patience that Tauruses are famous for. Alot of the stubborness as my husband points out! I also tried to enter my food journal but encountered a glitch. I tried 4 times (See?! Stuborn! says R.)  I and R visited Donna this afternoon. R to fix her leaky washer and I to help her figure out why she hasn’t dropped any wt. It turns out she was drinking 1025 calories that she hadn’t accounted for. I gave her a quick lesson on reading labels and MEASURING. I feel like a miracle worker! R worked a miracle on her washer. The older he gets the handier! Also handsomer. Life can be so unfair!! I need to lose wt and get in shape!!

Today was my husbands day off. He took me to see “Prince Caspian” matinee. R is such a good guy and sometimes I can’t believe my good fortune. Yesterday my friend Donna came over with her brood and everything needed for a great grill out. We had a feast of ribs, bratwurst, porkchops, stuffing, mac N cheese, green beans, fruit salad etc. All that I had to do was elevate my foot, play cards and activate the DVD player and surround sound. I feel truly blessed. I think that I did very good on portion control and stopping when full yesterday and today. Yah me!

Yesterday was fun but exhausting. Cleaned house and ran errands. Donna and her kids came over late since she had spent her day exchanging her old Lexus (she loved) for a 2002 Buick Rondevouse (she hates). It took me 71.00 to fill up my Exterra so I can only shake my head at Donna’s …..(optimism?). With the price of gas and everything else I would have gotten a hybrid or a small car as long as I could strap my kayak on the roof. Of course, I don’t have 4 kids ( 3 of them teens!). Today I am drinking coffee, eating leftover pizza and elevating my foot like a good girl. I keep looking at my stationary bike though. 5 minutes wouldn’t kill me would it? That is why pain pills were invented!!

I woke up at noon yesterday and am still up. Just couldn’ t sleep. Did laundry and watched cheesy tv movies. Donna and her brood are due over at noon.  I have been more active today.Yah! Since I broke my foot on 28Apr and had surgery on the 2nd I’ve been a couch potato. It feels good to clean house and have friends over! I am ordering pizza instead of cooking and we will probably end up watching movies. My life, so exciting.
